Located in Portland, Indiana our funeral home has been located at its current location for more than 100 years. Over the years we have made many renovations with your families needs in mind. We offer a spacious layout with comfortable surroundings that can accommodate your family and friends.

Our large chapel sits over 200 guests with a private secluded area for families if desired. We also have a second viewing parlor with an open casual design. To assist in your remembrance our facility has: complete surround sound (to play CD and taped music), organ. piano, a 42” LCD television to play remembrance videos and slide shows, an abundance of easels, picture boards, tables, and frames.

The lounge area has a full kitchen and seating for 50 people. There are also large tables for food and refreshments.

Baird-Freeman’s arrangement area offers you a wide range of options when making service related decisions. You will find this area of our facility to be well thought out, and designed to make difficult decisions as easy and unstressed as possible.

With our facility we offer you options. No one service is the same and every family has there own needs and wants from a funeral service. We encourage those unfamiliar with our facilities to compare...not all are alike. Unlike so many Rites of Passage, whether a birthday or anniversary celebration, a funeral is held only once.
